Pecola the protagonist is by far one of the most sympathetic characters that I have come across in my venture through literature; she endures racism, sexism, and even rape! The surprises, twists and turns this book utilizes make it an up-all-night journey. If you enjoy the complexity of analyzing a book to the core, "The Bluest Eye" is a brilliant read!!!

If you like reality crime television shows,like CSI, than you will really love this book. The famous criminalogist takes 4 real life murder cases that he has worked on and explains how they were able to catch the murderer by using the science in crime. In one cases they helped convict the murderer without finding a complete body, in the O.J. Simpson cases they proved his innocence by the analysis of blood evidence found at the scene. This would be a great book for outside reading in a Biology class or any other class that requires you to read a nonfiction book.

On impulse Jack stops in Margrave, Georgia, he is eating breakfast in the local dinner when the city cops come in and arrest him for murder. His alibi holds and he is released but then the identity of the vicitim is known and the murder becomes personal for Jack.

It's amazing, I would imagine many teenagers can relate to the book. The main character, Charlie, is deep and loveable. The book consists of him writing letters to a mysterious "friend" that is never revealed. In the end, you feel like you are that friend.
